Nokia Lumia 920 Teaser Unboxing (Images and Video)September 11, 2012 5 Comments
As promised, here is what I received from the awesome folks at Nokia and Nokia Connects.
At first glance when I received this I got a huge mini heart attack as I thought this was the impossible, a real Nokia Lumia 920 to call my own. Then knowing that launch is probably more than a month away a convinced myself that it wasn’t possible.
Upon opening the beautiful metal looking case, I found this.
It is a teaser to the upcoming Lumia 920. It is showing off some of the things that make the phone great in their opinion.
The Carl Zeiss Lens and Nokia Optics Module
Carl Zeiss Lens – A lens with a surface accuracy of less than 1 nanometre. Think you know how small that is? Pluck a hair, then look at it. It’s 100,000 times thinner than that. Incredibly accuracy.
Nokia Optics Module – A module designed to give amazing low light performance. It does this by monitoring the position in real time, so it’s always ahead of the game. In fact, its 300x faster than the average human reaction time, so it knows what you’re going to do before you do. Clever.
Polycarbonate Seamless Body
A body made of the same material used to make the perimeter barrier of an ice hockey rink. You know, the one that huge angry Canadians smash into in unison and bounce right off. Super tough.
Corning Gorilla Glass
A sheet of glass that is highly resistant to damage. How’s it created? By submerging the glass in a bath of molten salt heated to 400 degrees celsius. Don’t try that at home.
If I wasn’t pumped up for the Lumia 920, this definitely got me there. With these features that Nokia is teasing and plus the many more that they are not, we should all be really excited about its launch.
I was going to take a quick video but the guys over at TheNokiaBlog got the same little present and already made a video earlier today so here it is…
What do you guys think? Clever marketing?
(BTW all these pictures were taken pretty quickly on default settings with the Lumia 900)
