Nokia Lumia 920 King in Low Light Conditions (Original Pics vs One X, Galaxy 3, iPhone)

Alot was made about Nokia’s staged promos for the Lumia 920. Tons of companies do the same thing but they got caught red handed and put a damper on a really nice showing of the Lumia 920.

For some quick damage control however, Nokia let TheVerge last night take the Lumia 920 out and about for a little photoshoot at night at the park. They compared the Lumia 920 to the Samsung Galaxy S III, iPhone 4S, HTC One X, Nokia Lumia 900, and Nokia 808 PureView.

Exposure time in iPhone 4S was 1/15th of a second, whereas in the Nokia Lumia it was 1s. That’s what makes the lighting difference between them (notice the “ghost” effect in the nokia shot due to long exposure movement).

Well it might be useful to activate something called “Night mode” on the android devices.
I myself have the GS3 and even with very low light conditions it produces incredible pictures. Sure there is quite a bit of grain in those, but for a lens that small, it can easily compete with some quite expensive digital cameras (as long as they don’t use a tripod, obviously), so there’s no need for me to buy a camera for a while.
