Massive Rumor: Nokia Lumia 920 (Phi) w/ 41MP Pureview? (specs leak?)

August 31, 2012 3 Comments

It has been an exciting morning with all the possible leaks, especially the Lumia 920 (Phi) . Now we still do not know anything official and aren’t even sure if the image leaked earlier is legit – nor the specs leaked before that.

We have just been tipped by a blog (Amnay Tech)  that says that according to their source, these are the specs for the Lumia 920 (Phi)

Screen size: 4.5-inch
Camera: 41 megapixels
Camera features:  Records video, Auto focus, Flash (Xenon)
Internal memory: 16 GB
RAM: 1 GB
Screen type: LCD (Active, Color, Backlit)
Browser: HTML (Flash)
Operating system:
Windows Phone 8
High-speed performance
High quality slow motion video
capture and playback

Now remember this is all a rumor and there is no proof at all to the specs. There are also red flags all over the specs like flash on IE, Xenon flash (which we didn’t see in the leaked image) and of course the huge 41MP pureview camera.

It be amazing if we get a whopping 41MP pureview on our new Nokia handset but i am going to put this one under “doubtful” until we atleast get more info.

Keep in mind ie10 on win8 has a very light flash client in the metro browser. It is updated via windows update. So, it is not a far reach to think wp8 could do the same thing.

Some Pureview technology is likely, but 41MP? the case seems too thin to fit that big sensor and lens.

Still, very much looking forward to the Sept 5 announcement.
