Nokia: Windows Phone 8 Lumia Devices Coming Soon

With Nokia World just around the corner, rumors have spread that Windows Phone 8 might launch late September. Even though Nokia’s top dog Stephen Elop didn’t deny the early launch, he did however state  that it would be released “relatively near term”. That with the fact that Microsoft and Nokia have teamed up for a press event in NYC early next month, it might be sooner than we think.

With that simple statement, Nokia’s stokes shot up as folks are gearing up for their latest offerings.

Elop also reaffirmed his commitment to the Windows Phone platform

“I don’t think about rewinding the clock and thinking about competing elsewhere,”

“In today’s war … (between) Android, Apple and Windows, we are very clear, we are fighting that with the Windows phone,”

We are all going to have to wait for late October for Windows 8, hopefully we wont have to ait that long for its mobile counterpart.
