Microsoft: It’s Official – Dell, Asus, Lenovo and Samsung Windows RT Laptops & Tablets Are Coming (Updated)

August 13, 2012 2 Comments

Microsoft has finally announced the first OEM’s that will be bringing Windows RT tablets and laptops to market. The first OEM’s to sell Windows RT machines will be Dell, Lenovo, Asus (update) and Samsung.

Now we will have to wait as OEM’s prepare to show off and present their new hardware. It was pretty much a given that Ssmsung would be in that party as their hardware was used all throughout showing off Windows 8.

Sam Burd, Vice President, Dell PC Product Group

“Dell’s tablet for Windows RT is going to take advantage of the capabilities the new ecosystem offers to help customers do more at work and home. We’re excited to be Microsoft’s strategic partner, and look forward to sharing more soon.”

I was hoping to see Nokia there as many Lumia fans were anticipating a tablet version running Windows RT. Hopefully we will see something from them sometime next year.
