Metro is Dead?!? Love Live ‘Windows 8′?! Please No….
August 10, 2012 No CommentsIt is not official but Mary Jo Foley from Zdnet has sources stating that Microsoft will be moving from Metro (thanks alot Metro AG) and switching it to Windows 8.
I honestly think this is a mistake since that isn’t the name of the UI or style but the exact name of their new OS. Not only does this confuse things but it isn’t true as METRO was born on Windows Phone 7. Also when Windows 8 rolls out years from now, will we be still describing its style as Windows 8?
Other OEMS have also joined the party as Lenovo changed Metro already and replaced it withWindows 8.
What do you guys think? What should Microsoft call Metro now?
