Samsung Leaving Android For Windows Phone 8?
August 2, 2012 4 CommentsWith the latest Samsung leaks from their court battles with Apple. Two new phones surfaced showing us what the future holds for Samsung made Windows Phones.
An article by Forbes yesterday has taken the recent leaks and run with them. They are stating that Samsung might be leaving Android for Windows Phone 8 in the near future. Why? I am not sure as the article acts as if Samsung has never made a Windows Phones before.
They also stated that if Windows Phone becomes more succesful, Samsung would have to choose between WP and Android as to which platform will get their flasgship devices. I honestly think that Samsung will probably just come out with two identical flagship devices, one running Android and the other Windows Phone.
The only thing that might make Samsung create some space between it and and Android is the fact that no matter what Android device they come up with next. They will be expected to shell out money to Microsoft for patents and make their regular appearance in court with Apple.
At the end of the day… Samsung likes money and will continue to create phones that get them the most of it. Unless they make a deal with Microsoft, you will continue to see Android and Windows Phones from the handset maker. The handsets that we leaked the other day however ( “Odyssey” and “Marco” ), do show that Samsung is planning to invest more on the Windows Phone platform.
