Nokia: Pureview For Windows Phone and Lumia’s for Sprint/ Verizon Coming Soon (Upgrade Packages to WP8?)

Nokia’s Richard Kerris, VP of Worldwide Developer Relations, recently sat down with Neowin to discuss the future of Nokia and Windows Phone. In the interview he spoke alot about carriers, Windows Phone 8, developers and not leaving Windows Phone 7 (7.8) users behind.

Here are a few of the points he made:

• “it wont be long” until we see a Windows Phone Lumia device on Sprint and Verizon
• Pureview is coming to Windows Phone Lumia devices “very soon”
• Windows Phone 7 is not dead with 7.8 and other enhancements
• Developers targeting Windows Phone 7′s millions of users (apps will also work on Windows Phone
• He thinks that carriers will offer attractive options to upgrade from 7 to 8
