Blackberry Woes Continue – Might be Forced to adopt Windows Phone 8

June 29, 2012 3 Comments

Things are not looking good for Blackberry as of late. Shares dipped 18% recently and their stock has fallen by 70% in just one year. They also announced that their Blackberry 10 mobile devices have been postponed till early 2013 as development of the new OS has “proven to be more time-consuming than anticipated.”

Reuters is reporting that all of this is adding up to RIM considering some roads that they may have not wanted to take in the past. One of them being to adopt Windows Phone 8 as their new OS. This will reduce operating costs and Microsoft would probably fund for marketing and other goodies like their deal with Nokia.

How does this sound? Do you think there will be Windows Phone powered Blackberries in our future?
