Microsoft Surface Pricing Revealed?

June 20, 2012 6 Comments

One things everyone wanted to know on Monday when Microsoft revealed the Microsoft Surface was the price. Now DigiTimes is reporting that the prices will be the following.

Windows 8 Pro – $799+
Windows RT – $599+

Although the prices aren’t that bad, I believe that Microsoft will have to cut the price of the Windows RT version a bit more to compete with the iPad.

What do you guys think?

    Still rumors.

I am calling bullshit. While the $799 for the Pro 64gb is probably a correct guess, saying that the RT would be above $599 when the Pro is only $799 is just silly. I am thinking pricing will most likely be $499 for the RT 32gb and $599 for the 64gb.

I totaly agree with the RT price being wrong. I think that they should sell it at $449 to put the pressure on Apple

$449 for the 32gb would be a good price, $100 more for the 64gb would put both models priced under the lowest storage solution for the current iPad.

I really would like to see them price more competitively with the iPad 2 though, IMHO the iPad3 is really more of a upgrade to a better resolution, not better hardware/functionality. I see the iPad 3′s ludicrous resolution as another Apple marketing gimmick.

I think they should sell it for even less, do keep in mind that they will get money from the microsoft store.
