Stephen Elop: Prices “lower than the 610″ to “compete with Android aggressively”June 14, 2012 2 Comments
On a conference call with investors today, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop spoke again about how Nokia is committed to Windows Phone.
“We need to compete with Android aggressively,”
“The low-end price point war is an important part of that.”
Elop even confirmed that they will be working on Lumia devices with a lower price point than the Lumia 610.
“We had plans already to go lower than the 610,”
Nokia’s transition to Windows Phone has been a rocky one but I do believe that they are headed the right direction. The Lumia 900 is still sitting on top of Amazon’s sales charts. Can’t wait to hear what Microsoft and Nokia have up their sleeves for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 in general.
