Microsoft Hotmail Team Releases “Graymail Inboxer” Augmented Reality Game for Windows PhoneJune 6, 2012 1 Comment
The team at Microsoft’s Online Services Division is celebrating the (relatively) recently augmented Hotmail e-mail filter systems by releasing a game for Windows Phone devices. Titled “Graymail Inboxer”, the app – produced by Somewhat, Ltd (which, as far as we can tell, is an internal developer congregate) – challenges users to assume the role of Hotmail’s sorting system, catching as many falling “e-mails” as they can.
The game highlights Hotmail’s “graymail” features in an innovative and immersive way, the Marketplace description says:
To mark the launch of Hotmail’s great new features to tackle graymail, Graymail Inboxer turns keeping your inbox clear into a game. Graymail is the legitimate but mainly unwanted email that clogs your inbox – newsletters, social updates, special offers.
Microsoft announced and rolled out graymail sorting features to Hotmail users several months ago.
