Number of Active Windows Phone Users reaches 13 Million

First reported by WMPowerUser, the number of active Windows Phone 7 users now totals roughly 13 million, an estimate generated by the integrated Facebook
application Windows Phone uses.

As can be seen by the graph above, the number of active monthly Facebook users on WP7 has continued to increase linearly, with now roughly more than 2 million Windows Phone FB log-ins per thirty days. That’s quite an increase from the 1.5 million two months ago, and an encouraging sign that the sale of Nokia flagship smartphones and others are helping to vastly increase WP market penetration.

Of course, it’s important to note that these statistics are manipulable, subjective, and not wholly indicative of the entire Windows Phone user base – they’re rough metrics. However, taken with a grain of salt, they’re certainly encouraging signs for Microsoft.
