Homebrew: ‘Splash Changer’ Changes the Carrier Splash Screen When Powering On

April 27, 2012 2 Comments

Here is a little cool trick with a homebrew app that I thought some of you might enjoy. If you have the ability to side-load apps, you may want to try the homebrew app ‘Splash Changer’. It gives you the ability to change the carrier splash screen at start-up with anything you want.

  • You can download the app from here
  • add a 480×800 image in Windows BMP format to the ZIP file
  • Deploy the entire splashchanger.zip file to your phone (like a XAP file)
  • Run the Splash Changer app and pick your choice of wallpaper for the splash screen

Pretty simple but cool trick huh?
