Microsoft Files for Dual Display Phone Patent

April 21, 2012 No Comments

Microsoft has filed for a patent where a mobile device has secondary screen on the back of the phone. The second screen would be a low powered screen that can and may also run on its own low end processor. This is a pretty cool idea as you can double the screen space without making the device physically larger.

Have you ever seen the Nokia video showing the ‘phone of the future’? The patent is similar to this but not so far out in the future. At least we can gather a few ideas on how this tech can be used.

This is the new Nokia GEM concept device. What if *every* part of your next phone was a touchscreen?
