Monster Island Taken Off Marketplace Listing – Xbox Live Achievement issue?April 20, 2012 No Comments
Miniclip’s Monster Island has been partially taken off the marketplace. You cannot search for it on your phone or web but you can still get it by using the link below. The problem with the game is two fold. One is the fact that the game initially launched and it was only available in the US. The 2nd part was uncovered by wpcentral as the game broke a HUGE Xbox Live rule with their ‘Big Spender,’ achievement. To get the achievement you had to purchase $3 worth of DLC which is a big NO NO from Microsoft.
No official word yet has been given about why the game has been partially taken down from the marketplace but it is safe to assume that it is due to the reasons above.
Hopefully the achievement issue will get fixed ASAP as it was a pretty horrible move by Miniclips which is usually a top notch developer.
