I bought a Nokia Lumia 800 in Bangalore, in Karnataka, India, and the Service Provider I subscribe to is Vodafone. I bought the phone a week back and have been trying to configure WhatsApp ever since.

I downloaded the latest version 1.9.0 from the Windows Marketplace. The problem is, the application works only when connected to the WiFi but gets disconnected the moment I switch on to 3G/2G. This is highly inconvenient as I do not have constant WiFi access. I am unable to send or receive messages, when on 3G.
