Concept Art: Nokia Lumia 920 Running Windows Phone 8

April 11, 2012 10 Comments

We just love concept art, especially when it involves phones. Here we have the Lumia 920 which was designed by Jonas Dahnert. The fictional device is running on Windows Phone 8 and looks pretty nice…

The concept specs are”

  • 4.3″ screen
  • 720p resolution
  • 12MP PureView
  • Quadcore
  • 2000mAh battery
  • 1080p video
  • WP8
  • (Xenon, Curved display, front facing camera)

The device assumes (and might be right on point) that Windows Phone 8 will change up the start screen to look alot like Windows 8 and I am really liking the idea.

What do you guys think?

    On screen soft keys?

I have mixed feelings about that.

The concept looks pretty good, but not standing out much.

And I still don’t like any thing larger than 4″

mmm… hearing that these new gen3 hardware devices running Apollo will be have HD screens, multicore compatible, HD Video capable I will eagerly wait for this new batch to replace my (still to come) Lumia 900.

Fingers Crossed the concept art is close to the mark.

lets hope for a 4.7″ screen, not 4.3″

Well i hope they get the Samsung screen from the Galaxy s3..4.65 super  amoled plus HD…with clear black that would rock!.

For get Quad cores on a nokia, that trojan horse elop has already stated that he hates multicores..that they ”waste the  battery”..i can tell you if it doesn’t come with multicores and an adreno 320 i wont be buying it.

Im really looking forward to some Pureview and rich recording tech..thats going to be awesome!!..lets hope we get a slim chassis and a decent battery in it ;)

Why do you need multiple processing cores on your cell phone? Have a need to do 4096-bit cryptography algorithms while commuting to work or walking to your favorate food/drink spot do you?

Now i have got a Galaxy S3, and loaded an app called system tuner pro i can track individual cores load and frequency, i can confirm that all 4 cores are often used to process multitabbed web browsing faster, and also to do proper multitasking, icluding playing hd games and 1080p video.

Contrary to certain people including yourself, multi cores can be used very frequently in a phone, to aid general smoothness, speed, proper multitasking and ADVANCED functions all whilst saving battery.

I should know its working for me right now ;)
