No More Dell Venue Pro as Dell Hits Reset Button on US Smartphone Strategy

March 29, 2012 1 Comment

ell has stopped selling smartphones in the US as it focuses on a reboot in their mobile strategies. The Dell Venue Pro was one of the first Windows Phone handset available and now it is not being offered anymore by the company in the US. Although they are still in stock and selling the device overseas.

Dell continues to sell smartphones outside the U.S. It sells the Venue Pro in India, the Venue in South Korea, a Streak smartphone in Japan, and Streak smartphones and tablets in China. The company also offers Streak tablets in some other countries.

As Dell is already positioning itself to have Windows 8 tablets avalable by the launch of the OS later this year, it wouldn’t be too far off to think that they are repositioning themselves and get ready for Windows Phone 8 as well.
