MSNerd, who has been stable source as far as Microsoft leaks are concerned, is getting out of the business of information and he/she is just giving all their information away.

On Reddit, he/she is holding a Q&A session and one of the topics that came up was whether or not all WP handsets would be able to get Windows Phone 8.

Yes, all current Windows Phones will receive a subset of Apollo. The carriers are the primary obstacle in the US. I hear Microsoft is pushing hard for a Mango-like delivery schedule, as are Nokia & HTC.

Some Apollo features will be exclusive to the 3rd-gen devices expected to be released this fall on the MSM8960 platform.

We will just have to wait and see if this is true or not but for now we should consider this very good news. It also makes alot of sense that if older devices are upgradable, then some features would still be missing as the hardware would be incapable of duplicating it.
