Upstream Component Suppliers: Nokia Likely to Launch Windows 8 Tablets Late 2012
March 12, 2012 3 CommentsAccording to sources at upstream component suppliers, Nokia is likely to be launching their own Windows 8 tablets late this year. The tablet looks to be a 10-inch Windows 8 tablet PC set on Qualcomm’s dual-core platform in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Nokia is expected to outsource production of the 10-inch tablets to Compal Electronics with the first batch of shipments to top 200,000 units, the sources revealed.
I can’t wait for a Nokia made Windows 8 tablet and might make me hold of my plans to get the first one I see until the Nokia tablet is launched.
