March 9, 2012 2 Comments

A student in the UK by the name of Ro Ramtohul needed to help increase familiarity with other cultures using a bit of technology for a school project. His whole vision revolves around how he can use TV as an incentive to learn different cultures using a kinect attached to his TV and a Windows Phone.

The project dubbed “Reculture” uses a Windows Phone for various things like:

  • To notify the user what the culture of the day is.
  • To inform the user what the culture’s gestures are.
  • To enable the user to learn more about the different cultures.
  • To enable the user to compare different cultures’ gestures.
