Windows Phone Grabs 8% Marketshare in Norway – Takes From iOS and AndroidMarch 7, 2012 1 Comment
It has been a slow start (marketshare) for Windows Phone as it was a brand new OS that Microsoft launched in late 2010. Finally though thanks to Nokia’s help, we are starting to see some traction in sales. Recently, we wrote about the IDC stating that 250,000 Windows Phones Sold in Russia only after a short time of being available. Windows Phone is even poised to overtake iPhone this quarter in Russia.
Now we are getting word that Nokia’s Lumia 800 is selling well in Norway and is helping Windows Phone take marketshare from Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android.
The Lumia 800 cracked the top 5 selling phones in Norway for February as it was named the first Windows Phone to make it to the top 10.
- iPhone 4S
- Samsung Galaxy S II
- iPhone 4
- Nokia Lumia 800
- Sony Ericsson arc S
Hopefully Nokia’s run of success will continue in the US when the Lumia 900 launches soon on AT&T.
