Nokia’s 808 41MP Symbian Device – Should be Running Windows Phone

February 27, 2012 1 Comment

I am sure you all have seen the monster that is Nokia’s latest Symbian device the Nokia 808. The handset has a enormous 41MP camera built in.

The device is getting tons of buzz online as it should since 41MP is unheard of on a phone. The fact that it is running Symbian and not Windows Phone kind of kills the momentum a bit as far as Windows Phone being Nokia’s Plan A. This type of device running Windows Phone would of pushed the platform to a new high as far as exposure and buzz in the tech world.

I know that Windows Phone at the moment cannot handle a 41MP camera and this will have to wait till Windows Phone 8 (Apollo). I believe however that Microsoft should of done everything humanly possible to get that massive camera running on a Windows Phone first, or at least at the same time.

Atleast we can look forward to this technology and be happy that we have Nokia in our corner as Windows Phone turns to 8.
