Line Birds: Game Review

Looking for a fun game that won’t cost you a dime on the Windows Phone Market? Have you tried Line Birds?
The game is so simple and yet so much fun. I am a huge fan of games that you can fit in a whole gaming session in 5 – 10 minutes and feel like you got a lot done in the game.
The goal is simple, you play as a bird and you have to guide it safely accross the never ending board to rack up meters. By pressing and/or holding the screen you make the bird flap its wings. problem is that as soon as you let go or aren’t pressing, the bird takes a nose dive downward.
Another cool thing about the game is that there are a few birds to choose from (unlockable) and they all have their own special little powers. For example, one can go through walls for a short periods of time and another can slow down time. The catch is that to use the powerups you have to have at least three seeds in your system to be able to use them. The seeds you can pick up at random as they are placed and spaced along the route.
Line Birds was first developed for the iPhone and did very well there. It was imported to the Windows Phone Marketplace late last year and it is a very welcome addition. It features:
- 5 different beautiful designed birds to unlock
- Special abilities for each bird
- Simple one touch control gameplay
- Three game modes from easy to hard
- Various achievements to unlock
- Highscore ranking system
