Rumor: Microsoft Points to be Cancelled

January 24, 2012 No Comments

It is a huge rumor with nothing to go by except an anonymous “source with knowledge of the company’s decision” but here we go anyway.

Inside Mobile Apps is reporting that Microsoft will be doing away with Microsoft points by the end of 2012. This is great news all around as one of the most single most annoying things in the world is having MS points left over from a purchase that you cannot buy anything with.

It would be a surprising move by Microsoft though as Microsoft points are very popular and almost a household term by now. Only time will tell if they will put down the virtual currency anytime soon.
