Exclusive: SoulCraft Free2play Action RPG Coming Soon!January 16, 2012 9 Comments
In the pursuit to find what may be the breakout game we all have been waiting for,for the Windows Phone, we here at WP7Connect may just have stumbled upon what could revolutionize the platform forever. Big words you say? Faith without works you say? Well our faith in this game we have come to have based firstly on a small tech demo of the emerging game and new Delta Graphic engine wayy back at Mobile World Congress in 2011.
The demo looked absolutely stunning then, but early speculation believed the game would never see the light of day on the Windows Phone 7 because of issues concerning certain graphic limitations. Oh but we believed and are belief has paid off in a big, big way. It brings me great pleasure to announce here first, SoulCraft for the WP7 coming officially the first half of 2012.
Brief description:With humans on the brink to discover the secret of eternal life, angels and demons make a pact to proclaim the apocalypse to be able to materialize into the real world, fight the humans and keep the circle of life intact. SoulCraft lets you play as an angel, demon or human – it is up to you who will win this fight.
SoulCraft is a free2play Action RPG being developed by the indie game studio MobileBits. They are currently in open beta and hope we would take the chance to shape the game with them together. They plan on constantly adding lots of fresh new things (locations, character, spells, items and more) and ultimately they decided they would use our own creative feedback to decide what to do next with the game!
Already relesaed in the form of a beta for Android, we caught up with Karsten Wysk, one of the founders and developers at MobileBits to see what their plans for the Windows Phone included. They confirmed in a brief conversation that Soulcraft was created and built from the ground up using their own .NET based Delta Engine. He also made sure to say that they are without a shadow of a doubt HUGE fans of the WP7,and will be doing everything they can to release the multi-platform game on WP7,IOS and Android, Q1 of 2012 and at the latest the second quarter. They finally assured me that this game upon releasing will run very well, so we do not have to worry about the performance. The only thing first us to do now is to wait to see this great work that has started transcend into greatness…Comments are welcomed
