GTalk App ‘OctroTalk’ Learns New Trick – Updated Version Now Supports VOIPJanuary 15, 2012 No Comments
OctroTalk has seen a few updates since it has been on the marketplace and now it seems it has seen its biggest update yet. Now the GTalk client supports VOIP but it is limited in a few ways, so I suggest you take the free version for a spin before you go ahead and purchase the ‘full’ version.
I haven’t noticed any other updates or changes with the latest update other than the VIOP support
You can always try the app for free before you buy ($2.49)
Octrotalk version 1.0.4 is a Google Talk client for Windows Phone 7, which allows you to stay logged in to the Google Talk service, and receive incoming messages via push (in case app is not running in the foreground). OctroTalk supports both tile and push notifications.
In previous version (1.0.3) -
1) The chat dialog is now setup according to the theme of the device. The background color and accent color are used to create the dialog.
2) Fixed a few bugs – especially an issue that sometimes caused the application to crash on startup.
