Skype to Come to Windows Phone as App First – Baked Into OS Later? (Coming Soon?)
January 14, 2012 No CommentsMicrosoft in a conversation with Mobil.se and readers, they have announced that Skype will launch as an app to start with. My guess is that with Tango or maybe even the Apollo launch, we will be seeing Skype come baked in Windows Phone.
After promising Skype to launch before the end of 2011, we are now hearing that Skype should be coming soon, which makes sense since it will just be an app for now.
Here we see Skype’s VP of products, Rick Osterloh state that Skype for Windows Phone should in fact be coming soon. (check after the minute mark)
