T-Mobile: Windows Phone to Play a More Prominent Role in 2012 – as it Announces Lumia 710

December 14, 2011 1 Comment

Earlier today, Nokia announced the Lumia 710 on T-mobile, marking their first Windows Phone powered device to hit the US.

T-mobile recently announced the Lumia 710 as well but they also had these choice words in their press release.

“We’re excited to team with Nokia in bringing its first Windows Phone to the U.S. with the elegantly designed Nokia Lumia 710,” said Cole Brodman, chief marketing officer, T-Mobile USA. “Windows Phone offers a compelling mobile OS choice for people who want a smartphone built around them, their family and friends.  We expect it to play a more prominent role in our lineup and marketing efforts in 2012.”

That is very exciting news coming from a US carrier. Not only did T-Mobile bring the Lumia 710 to the US but they are also stating that Windows Phone will play a more prominent role in not only their mobile lineup but also their marketing efforts next year.

Anyone picking up a Lumia 710 from T-Mobile early next year? Anyone waiting for the Lumia 800 or 900?
