Microsoft Admits SMS Bug – Will Protect Windows Phone Users

December 13, 2011 No Comments

Earlier this morning we published a story on how their was a certain bug on Windows Phone that was activated by recieving a text message with specific unknown text. It didn’t even take Microsoft 24 hrs as they have already issued a statement.

Greg Sullivan, Senior product manager for the Windows Phone division at Microsoft, writes “We are aware of the issue and our engineering teams are examining it now. Once we have more details, we will take appropriate action to help ensure customers are protected.”

Thank god the exploit was not made public and we can just sit back and wait for Microsoft to issue a patch for it.
