Windows Phone 7740 Update Making its Rounds Worldwide (Nokia Lumia 800 Too)

December 1, 2011 4 Comments

Microsoft’s Windows Phone update to version 7740 from a few weeks ago is making its rounds around the world again. It seems this time around, more devices and carriers are receiving the update. 7740 tackles two main issues, fixes an issue with new voice mail notifications not appearing for customers and also fixes an email issue associated with Exchange Server 2003. As of now I have a short list of customers receiving the update which include:

  • Nokia Lumia 800
  • Samsung Focus / Rogers
  • Omnia 7 / UK – T-Mobile
  • LG Optimus 7/ Vodaphone
  • HTC Trophy / Swisscom

With that said, I haven’t seen anyone in the US yet with the update. A firmware update however made its rounds recently adding Internet sharing to the HTC HD7 and others.

If you have received the 7740 update – let us know   : )

Update:

HTC Mozart in Ireland   (Michael M)

HTC HD7 in Romania   (Wizake)
