Zune Pass Finally Available in Australia – Kinect’s Voice Capabilities Coming Soon

November 15, 2011 1 Comment

Finally Australians will be getting what they should of had a while ago. Zune Pass has finally landed in Australia, for the most part untouched. The service will be available for across all Zune enabled devices (Xbox, Windows, Zune HD and Windows Phone) priced at $11.99 a month or $119.90 per year.

WPDownUnder notes that Zune Australian users can expect the following:

  • No artist biographies, these are U.S. only at the moment. Artist imagery is available for international artists but  not local Australian ones.
  • Individual song/album purchases can be made using Microsoft points or credit card.
  • No Zune podcast support for Australia.
  • Zune Music Pass will only work with an Australian Windows Live ID.
  • No Australian Zune HD Marketplace, no free apps and games for Zune HD devices.

Also some more good news for Australia, voice capabilities for Kinect will be enabled sometime next month.
