Lumia 800: Nokia Working on Update to Enable Internet Sharing

November 3, 2011 No Comments

The reception for Nokia’s first Windows Phone has been an almost perfect one. People are generally excited and the Lumia 800 is getting its fair share of exposure overseas. Although the device is amazingly beautiful and stunning, it does fall short on a few features, one being Internet sharing.

Good news for users and future consumers of the Lumia 800 is that Nokia is already working on getting Internet sharing on the brand new Lumia 800.

Here is what Nokia’s PR team told winrumors about the situation:

“Microsoft takes very seriously meeting (and exceeding) the requirements outlined by agencies such as the FCC in the USA. They felt it was really important to fully address the concerns raised by recent FCC regulations before enabling this feature and are optimistic they can deliver on these requirements though a software update and are working diligently on that now.”

It might sound like a PR team just spinning the facts a bit, but the most important thing is that they are working on it.
