October 26, 2011 2 Comments

With most Windows Phone 7.5 devices having the ability for video chat, Tango Video Chat will be available for those handset on November 7th according to Forbes.

With Microsoft now officially owning Skype, the very popular video chat service has failed to be first to appear on Windows Phone. A Skype spokeswoman told Forbesthat the company “does not have anything to announce at this time regarding Skype on Windows Phone.”

“I think Microsoft sees video-calling as a killer app for holiday season sales [of Windows Phone devices],” said Tango founder and Chief Technology Officer Eric Setton in an interview. “And no other video-calling company besides us will be out on Windows Phone [before the holidays].”
