Stephen Elop Confirms What We Already Knew

October 4, 2011 No Comments

In a not so surprising announcement, Stephen Elop, chief executive officer of Nokia confirmed today that they will be unveiling their first Windows Phone devices this quarter. It has been expected that Nokia would be making their Windows Phone announcements at the Nokia World trade show on October 26th.

What makes this confirmation news worthy is not that it’s definite that the Windows Phone unveilings will be made but that there will be more than one device unveiled.

Unfortunately there is no word on whether these devices will be available right away or if consumers will be forced to wait. It is also unknown whether the devices that will be unveiled will be available in the US, since it has been said that the US would not see Windows Phone Nokia devices until early next year. I’m sure a lot of these things will be clarified for us on October 26th.
