How to: Force Mango

Many moons ago the NoDo update was being distributed but many were not getting the update notification on their phones. This obviously led people to resort to other methods to get their hands on the update. That’s exactly what is happening now.

Now that the Mango update is being distibuted, those not receiving it are left frustrated. Fortunately we have the solution on how you can get your hands on the Mango update right now. The method used is the same one as when NoDo was being distributed. Here’s what you have to do:

1. Start Zune
2. Turn off Data connection and Wifi on the Phone
3. Connect the Phone with the PC (USB)
4. Start the update search in Zune
5. About 3 seconds later, disconnect your PC from the internet (Turn WLAN off).
6. Zune finds Mango-Update. Press OK.
7. Connect to the internet again and install the update.
