Could a Windows Tablet Also be Used as a Cell Phone?

September 18, 2011 2 Comments

The burning question…Is Microsoft setting up Windows 8 to have cell phone capabilities? Things seem to be leaning toward yes on this one. istartedsomething noticed a really interesting thing, on one of Microsoft’s slides from Build 2011. The slide shows the Windows 8 tiles and one of the tiles shows missed calls and another shows what looks like texts.

To further add fuel to the flame, in a video that we posted days ago you can definitely see that when you go into your contacts there is an option to text and chat.

What does everyone think about this? How do you think they will keep people interested in Windows Phone when the Windows 8 tablets will apparently have the same capabilities?
