Mango App: Sat Rad Player (Bluetooth Support) – Sirius/XM Radio

September 16, 2011 No Comments

Mango is not only bringing new apps to the Windows Phone Marketplace but it is also enhancing current ones as well. The new Sat Rad Player has been updated to 3.0 and now includes playing music in the background, volume control through the media controls and bluetooth support.

If you have a Sirius/XM Radio account – this app might be for you.

Version 3.0

  • •BLUETOOTH!!! Can now listen to Sat Rad Player over a Bluetooth device!!!
  • Background Audio – listen to Sat Rad Player in the background while doing other tasks on your phone. Press the volume control on the phone to bring up the mini-player (aka UVC) that allows you to stop/start playing, and change channels. The mini-player can be accessed from anywhere on the phone through the volume controls (even if the phone is locked). TO ENABLE THIS FEATURE make sure the ‘plays under lock screen’ option is checked off in the settings menu.

Fixes in this Version:

  • Eliminated the pause in audio when the phone is first locked.
  • The trial version is fully functional with advertisements.

App Info:
Sat Rad Player is the first Windows Phone 7 application that allows you to listen to your Sirius/XM Satellite radio subscription on your Windows Phone 7 device!

In order for this player to work, your current US based Sirius/XM subscription must include the option for Internet play.

Any question or issues please visit the support forums at http://www.satradplayer.com , or email us from the support button within the app itself.

DISCLAIMER: Sat Rad Player relies upon the stream provided by Sirius. If this stream was to ever go down, then Sat Rad Player will not function. If Sirius/XM we’re to modify how this stream is provided in the future, Sat Rad Player may require an update to continue to function. There is a possibility that in the future Sirius may modify the stream so that this player will cease to function permanently. I will do my best to ensure this player will continue to function in the future.
