Windows 8 means a lot of things to a lot of people. For gamers, Windows 8 is a big deal because of the fact that Xbox Live will be embedded into the system. Another fact though that was revealed yesterday was that people playing on Windows 8 will be able to play with or against Windows Phone users in real-time.

They used a game called Tanks to demo the cross-platform play between Windows 8 and Windows Phone.

These small features for Windows 8 are huge for Windows Phone. Instantly in one fluid motion, Microsoft has added cross platform gaming with Windows for Windows Phone.
