IM+ Update Available Now

August 19, 2011 No Comments

As promised the update for IM+ is now available. In addition to some new tweaks to the application performance, the update brings a big negative. Just as IM+ warned when the announcement of the update was made, if you choose to go ahead and update your phone to the new version of IM+ you will lose the ability to connect to Windows Live messenger.

New Features:

  • Significantly improved contact list scrolling and overall application performance
  • Push-to-Email option allows incoming messages to be forwarded to your email
  • Autoreply feature will instantly notify your contacts that your are in Push mode
  • ICQ / AIM / AOL / iChat group chats
  • ICQ contacts can now be added into your AOL/AIM/iChat contact lists and vice versa
  • VKontakte and Yandex IM services are now supported
  • Download For Windows Phone

It’s a tough decision, but in the end you have to weigh your options and decide what is best for you.

What are you guys going to do? Update and wait for Windows Live Messenger to be available through the Mango update or stay with your current version of IM+ so that you can continue to using Windows Live Messenger?
