Microsoft Looking For Windows Phone 8 (apollo) Engineer – WP8 App in Windows 8?
August 17, 2011 No CommentsMicrosoft has started work (or at-least planning) and have mentioned Windows phone 8 (Apollo) for the first time. In a job posting recruiting for a Software Development Engineer to help make Windows Phone 8 a reality..
The job description goes on to describe what building Windows Phone 8 entails: “The Windows Phone team is taking on a huge challenge stirring up the out of box experience for Windows Phone 8 and is committed to building/improving a compelling and dynamic high quality look and feel to our end user experience.”
Another very interesting tidbit is that they mention a Windows Phone 8 app that will ship in the Windows Marketplace: “This promises to be a volatile world churning within the OS, Phone 8 as well as our AUT (Application Under Test) that we’ll ship in the Windows Marketplace!”
What does that mean? Is it proof that Windows Phone applications will run on Windows 8? or is it another form of collaboration between phone and PC?
