Kinectimals Will Allow You to Import/Export Animals Between Phone and Xbox

August 17, 2011 No Comments

Ever since Windows Phone was released people have been wondering how Microsoft would tie the Windows Phone experience with the Xbox 360. Seems as though Kinectimals may be our first real glimpse of Wp7 and Xbox directly sharing some type of connectivity. Having the game on both your Xbox and your Windows phone will allow you to import and export your animals between devices. Melissa Stewart, a Microsoft rep gives a little more information on the subject:

“The answer is yes, Kinectimals for Windows Phone does share
connectivity with the Kinectimals for Xbox 360 version. You can import your favorite pet to your Windows Phone from your Xbox 360 by simply holding the phone up to the TV screen and capturing the QR code from the pet. The phone will recognize the code and add the pet to the mobile experience. Players can export their favorite mobile pets into their Kinect for Xbox 360 Kinectimals game by holding their Windows Phone up to their Kinect sensor which will read the QR code assigned to their pet and add it to their console experience. If players are logged onto their WP and Xbox 360 consoles with the same Xbox LIVE credentials, this process will happen automatically.”

What a great way to get the younger generations geared up for Windows Phone. I know for a fact that once this game is released, my phone will only be mine part time since my daughter will be taking any chance to play with her tigers on the go.
