Is Mango Coming September 1st? Quite Possibly

August 11, 2011 2 Comments

Pocket-Lint is claiming that “multiple trusted sources” have told them that Mango will be coming on September 1st on new devices as well as for current Windows Phone owners.

The reason for this seems to be that it is in time for IFA, which is Europe’s largest consumer electronic event. This would be the perfect opportunity for them to not only showcase new devices running the updated software but also to get the buzz going and try to gain momentum. This would be the perfect lift off for not only Mango but to begin prepping everyone for Nokia’s launch which is expected at the end of October at the Nokia World event.

Obviously at this point it is a mere rumor, but I can’t wait to see if this one holds any weight. Updates to current owners of Windows Phones is contingent on carrier roll out so even if this one turns out to be true, it might take some time for us to get the update. Things are starting to get really exciting for Windows Phone enthusiasts!
