App Review: Flick Pro (RSS Reader)

August 5, 2011 No Comments

I have been using Flick Pro for awhile and I can honestly say that it is a top notch RSS reader. First of all it is completely free and it does what you would want any RSS reader to do. You are able to put in your own RSS feeds and read articles. The good news is that Flick Pro doesn’t stop there. Once you open the app for the first time you already have a prebuilt system of news by categories that is perfect for someone who isn’t familiar with the world of RSS.

The app itself is beautiful and it is very heavily inspired by the Windows Phone Metro UI. Swiping around is a breeze and at the speed that it gets all the data is quite impressive. 2coolapps in my opinion is getting quite a name for themselves for creating such high quality applications for the Windows Phone.

Like I said before Flick Pro is already pretty built once you open the app for the first time but you have a good amount of customization options at your disposal. Is it enough custom options? Well that depends on the user on a personal level. I love using this app and my only wish is that it had some sort of live tile action.
