Windows Phone & Kinect Grow Closer Together Thanks to Mango (video)

August 3, 2011 No Comments

Welcome to the future and Microsoft’s vision, all their products and services playing nicely together. As you can see in the video above, Kinect is now able to be intergrated with Windows Phone in a way that it will also calculate and show your movements on the phone from the Kinect.

Small projects like these are starting to pop up online after the Kinect for Windows SDK beta refresh was made available. What will the technology add to the future of video games? Can you imagine playing a racing game on your Windows Phone and being able to speed up or brake just by moving your feet.

We have seen videos of Windows Phone connecting to Kinect to improve gameplay before but the other way around would be pretty cool too.

For now this can only be done by having a PC working as the middle man but hopefully that will be only temporary as the Xbox and Windows Phone updates are scheduled for later this year.
