Microsoft Changes Windows Phone Logo

August 1, 2011 No Comments

Most people who are fans of Windows Phone might have noticed that the Windows Phone logo on the back of their phones has the Windows symbol in a circle. Well, it seems that that symbol is going to change with the new Windows Phone handsets set to be released this Fall.

The new Windows Phone handsets will be sporting a brand new logo along with an updated OS. The new logo isn’t really all that different. Instead of the Windows logo in a circle it will be in a square. So really the change is not major. The change could have been made to reflect Windows Phone’s live tiles. What do you think? Should they keep the circle logo? Or is square a better fit for Windows Phone?

Just for reference, this is what the old logo looked like…

and the new one….
