Trial Version Added to Garmin StreetPilot

Many people were genuinely excited when Garmin StreetPilot was released on Windows Phone. For a fleeting moment, however brief there was a feeling of happiness that something that was needed had finally found its’ way to Windows Phone.

Unfortunately, reality had to set in and people realized that the app came with a $40 price tag. While $40 is expensive for an app it saves people from having to purchase a GPS device which run upwards of $100. There was still one issue. No trial version.

Many people, no matter how excited just weren’t willing to part with $40 without trying the app first.

The lack of a trial version must have led to less then stellar sales of StreetPilot because they have added a trial version. Most navigation apps have a limited trial version allowing you to route a limited distance, so I am guessing that StreetPilot follows the same protocol.
