Mango Phones Coming in September to Compete With New iPhone

July 29, 2011 No Comments

We have been speculating that Mango devices had to be coming soon. We know that Microsoft released the Mango update to manufacturers and to carriers for testing which means that Mango is in the final stages before its’ official release.

DigiTimes is reporting that OEM’s are releasing the next generation of Windows Phones in September in order to compete with Apple’s new iPhone release, the iPhone 5.

They also mention that Nokia is expected to unveil their first Windows Phone devices at Nokia World 2011 in October. Allowing OEM’s to gain Windows Phone some momentum that they can use to their advantage in October.

A lot of marketing is needed for them to compete directly with the iPhone 5 and it needs to be established that Windows Phone is not the same as Windows Mobile. If this report is true I am interested to see what else they have up their sleeves to help them compete with iPhone.
