Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst Removed from Marketplace, Probably for Good

July 26, 2011 No Comments

Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst was removed from the Marketplace but not much thought was given to that as games with issues have been removed before to rectify the issues and then have been resubmitted to the Marketplace. Crackdown 2, however seems to be an entirely different situation.

The developers of Crackdown 2 posted a message on their Facebook page saying that they are going to issue refunds to anyone who purchased the game in the past 60 days.

As many of you know, Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst has been removed from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Windows Phone. If you purchased the game in the past 60 days, you will receive a refund credited to your account. Please note: with the removal of this game from the Marketplace, we will be discontinuing this page on Wednesday, July 27.

That seems as though the game will be pulled from the Marketplace entirely and never put back. That is an unfortunate turn of events for those who played and really enjoyed Crackdown 2 and even worse for those who purchased the game over 60 days ago.
